Dabney Eastham has experience in patent prosecution in the USPTO and foreign patent offices such as the EPO, patent litigation and appeals in the U.S., and patent evaluation and licensing. He also has experience in registering trademarks in California, the USPTO, and foreign trademark offices, as well as trademark oppositions before the USPTO and foreign trademark offices. He has participated in litigation of copyright and trademark infringement. Dabney has more than 35 years of intellectual property law and has dealt with technologies from 3-D printing to methods for curvelet transforms of data.
Dabney has been outside general counsel for two companies based in Santa Rosa, California since 2010. He has experience with contracts, labor issues, corporate structure and governance, and various other business matters in addition to overseeing the intellectual property portfolios of the companies. He has represented other clients in successfully resolving investigations by state agencies.
Dabney is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is licensed to practice law in California. He received an undergraduate degree in physics with highest honors from the College of William and Mary in 1976. Dabney received his juris doctorate from New York University School of Law in 1984.
