Christopher R. Abidin

Chris is a registered patent attorney with experience preparing and prosecuting U.S., PCT, and foreign patent applications involving numerous technologies including computer software and hardware, electrical systems, wireless communications, mechanical systems, imaging systems, haptic systems, medical devices, information security, mail processing, and business method technologies.

During law school, Chris participated in an externship with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  While there, he reviewed pending patent applications and worked with examiners to develop prior art search strategies and draft office actions.  Prior to attending law school, Chris worked as an embedded software engineer at Lockheed Martin and an information technology consultant at Accenture.

Chris is admitted to practice law in Virginia and he is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  Chris is also admitted to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Chris has worked with Jim Carmichael for more than ten years.
